Thanks to the Internet, acquiring new skills and qualifications by distance learning is now even more convenient and tailored to student needs than ever before. Online chat rooms and downloadable course materials are just two things that make home study today so much more rewarding.

STT, one of the UK’s oldest distance learning colleges, is utilising the Internet to improve students’ learning experience. To do this and expand their reach, STT have recently launched a new website with the aim of enhancing distance education with tailored courses in writing, business and counselling.

“The Internet has revolutionised our industry,” says Diana Nadin, Director of Studies at STT. “Our students can now contact each other, communicate with the college quicker and access their course materials as soon as they enrol. It’s a fantastic step forward for distance education and students are the ones who will benefit most.”

STT offers courses in Creative Writing, Business and Counselling, with new courses being added regularly to their website.

“What’s so great,” Diana continues, “is that we can now offer all our students a better service no matter where they live. As long as they have Internet access they can live on top of a mountain or in the bush and still study effectively with us.”

STT has been training people for over 75 years. Literally hundreds of thousands of students worldwide have benefited from their flexible and caring approach to learning. This allows students to study where and when they choose and at a pace that suit them.

To celebrate the launch of the new website, students get a 10% discount on fees when they enroll online. Students also get instant access to their course modules and the student community area.
